Careers & Skills Gateway update: Jobcentre Plus in talks with Ordinary People

| January 18, 2012

The Ordinary People met with representatives from Jobcentre Plus to discuss a support package for the Careers & Skills Gateway 2012 event. The aim is to see how an event, and the partners working together, can deliver not just live vacancies, but actually help people get into those jobs.

Godwin Ohajah, Chair & Founder of the Ordinary people, said; “It is very encouraging that, in spite of the well documented cuts across government spending, all parties are looking at innovative ways to make this much needed event happen.”

He concludes, “We are opening up discussions with a number of potential partners and if this meeting is anything to go by, we will have a flagship event that will make London proud and also help crystalise a key aspect of the London2012 legacy promise.”
